Hi All ,

Iam using Windows Xp professional V5.1. I have problems with remote desktop
intsallation, used to operate my office computer from my home or remote place.

Problem:

I can communicate from the remote/another PC to the host PC in the same LAN.
But from another place or home, I cannot communicate to the host PC in my
office.

What I have tried:

I have checked
http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.org/RemoteDesktop/RemoteDesktopSetupandTroubleshooting.html notes. Accordigly I checked everything and found the problem.

The problem:

When I port querry 3389 using my public IP, I found that the computer is not
listening. When I use my LAN ip, it is listening.

What I need:

1.Can anyone confirm that Singnet or starhub surely blocked these ports or
anyone was successfull.

2. There is a procedure to reconfigure the remote desktop to another
port.eg:port 80, port 23,port 110 etc. My computer public IP is listening to
these ports. If I choose to change which port should I try?

3. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks and Regards
