No Active Internet Connection...

I have an older computer that I added XP to (Home Edition, Version 2002,
Service Pack 2) and also have broadband internet connection. I am able to
access the internet, but I have a few programs that I have downloaded (one is
SmartMusic 10.0 for my daughter's band class) and when I try to run the
program I get an error that says "an active internet connection is required".
I have disabled the firewall but still no luck. Any help would greatly be
appreciated!!

Wrong news grotup -- unless you're using FoxPro to deal with your internet
connection....
